Holiday Giving

We believe in paying it forward. We think giving is one of the strongest, smartest business moves anyone can make.

Showing Thanks

RWL Design began by giving small amounts when possible. It was not a huge sum, but it was a start. And at the time, it felt like a lot. As we gave, we better understood its importance and made giving one of our priorities. Since then, we’ve raised our donations to 10 percent. We’re very thankful to be able to give.

Financially Responsible

Beyond the “feel good” aspect, giving can provide multiple financial benefits for your business. Some of these include:

Exposure
Partnering with charities gives you public recognition. It also provides an avenue to meet potential customers.

Engagement
Sharing your giving plan and success with your customers engages them in the process. It can create new ways to connect with your audience.

Tax Cut
Every dollar donated a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization is a tax write off. Your accountant can give you the details on how it applies to you or your business.

Are you giving? If so, that’s great. Let us know on Facebook. We’d love to celebrate your success with you. If you aren’t but are thinking about it, start small. Try giving one or two percent of your earnings during this holiday season. See how it makes you feel. Find out how it improves your exposure and helps you engage with customers and prospects.

Giving is a habit. One that, we have found, makes our hearts whole. Why? Because people took a chance on us when we got started and there are a lot people who also need this kind of help. It’s a big world out there, with plenty of opportunities to make your business more than a living or a job. Your business can be a vehicle of change and hope.

Where do you begin?

Find established organizations that work in areas you care about - there’s more common ground than you think. Get in touch and ask them what kind of help they need. Concerned your donation won’t will really make a difference? Charity Navigator is a great place to find background information about charities. Also, you could ask one of their key members to coffee or lunch for an opportunity to get any questions you may have answered.

This year as a part of our regular giving, RWL Design is sponsoring a “Like” campaign for International Justice Mission (IJM). IJM is a human rights organization that helps victims of slavery, sexual exploitation, and other forms of violent oppression.

During the “Like” campaign, RWL Design will make a $1 donation* for every new “Like” the IJM Facebook page receives. All funds raised will go directly to IJM’s urgent fund which provides rescue assistance to the most immediate needs around the world.

A Facebook “Like” campaign is a really low barrier way to raise awareness while also giving back. Want to know when your “Like” can equal a donation? Sign up for the RWL Design newsletter where we share monthly tips and the occasional announcement, such as the IJM “Like” campaign.

Giving doesn’t need to be financial, but it is always very meaningful. We hope you find ways to give back this holiday season and beyond.

*RWL Design has allocated up to $1,000 towards the IJM “Like” campaign.
